Good day. Good this and good that. With a little courtesy make a sweet smile to her, to the Dr. Smiled to him, to the colleagues with sharp eyes. If I get a response he is kind if not a snobbish person as he is. Aren't we all like that?
From the 30 minutes commute from the house. Why not take a comfortable seat with an electric fan blowing up to the head. Then still trying to listen to the endorsement of supplies that are lacking and needs refilling.
Then conserve energy and while waiting for something to happen or someone to appear. It’s inevitable. There are some days that are even harder than the others. After all this is the busiest, fast paced and most stressful environment.
Because when they come rushing. Keep a cool head like iceman, gather up all the strength like superman, quick thinking like flash and using knowledge like nightingale to aid in performing the necessary intervention while seeing everyone in the room works as a team and together we are delivering the best care we can to save the patient’s life . No need nor the time to be spaced-out. Because every second makes a difference between life and death.
Because this is what everyday living are for ER nurses like me. ^^
